August Recap + Flights of Fantasy Update

Life lately
August might’ve been the busiest month of my entire summer! At the very least, it’s the month that flew by the fastest. I went to the Museum of Ice Cream, Queens Night Market and Society of Illustrators. I saw An American in Paris. I went to a food tasting with my cousin and his fiance for their wedding next year plus threw a bridal shower (not to mention plan a bachelorette party in a couple weeks). That doesn’t include dinners, brunches, get togethers with friends and all the usual errands I have on a weekly basis. Seriously, just typing that all out makes me feel even more tired. But at the same time, it’s been a blast. I’ve loved getting to see all my people more often than usual this month.

I am so proud of myself for reading a lot of fantasy lately! All it took were some really addictive reads to get me out of my slump. I read 8 in the last month which include: all four books in Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater, Torn by Jennifer L. Armentrout, Beauty of Darkness by Mary E. Pearson, Like A River Glorious by Rae Carson and Let the Wind Rise by Shannon Messenger.

Which means I've officially met my goal of 35 fantasy books this year! Yay me.
