March Recap + Flights of Fantasy Update

Life lately
It's been a pretty quiet month but I truly needed the R&R especially since the next few weeks will be busy busy busy. I binge-watched season 3 of House of Cards (so good!) and season 2 of Daredevil (even better!). I went out to dinner or brunch at least once (sometimes twice) a week with friends. I treated my cousin to a massage for her birthday which doubled as a treat for me since we enjoy having spa days together. I've been going to bed a little earlier especially since it's even harder to get up in the mornings when it's still dark out. But seeing the sun still shining when I leave the office is SO worth losing an hour during Daylight Savings.

Also, Easter was just really nice this year. My family and I went to church and then a Chinese buffet afterwards for lunch. And when we go out to eat, it tends to be cousins and nephews on one side of the table and the adults/"old people" as we fondly call them (aka all our parents) on the other. But there was this funny yet sweet moment where my nephews were asking my cousins and I how old we all were. The adults were listening and laughing. Then my aunt pointed out how they used to be us. They were in their late 20s and 30s when they first came to the U.S. from the Philippines and now they're the grandparents. I don't know how to explain it but I just felt a lot of love and appreciation for the different generations of my family in that tiny moment.

Something like you love me
I know that I can find somebody

You won’t ever find nobody else like me."

  1. OMG season 2 of Davedevil was incredible! Jon Bernthal in the perfect Punisher. I was so sold on his character and it felt like he basically walked on screen from the pages of comics. Your Easter sounds like it was really nice! I love spending time with family<3 And I can't wait to read The Mirror King next month!

  2. I really loved season 2 of Daredevil, even though it started a bit slow for me! It picked up, of course, and I adored Charlie Cox as always ;) And your Easter sounds delightful! It makes me miss my family, and our own get-togethers too. Also, I am VERY pleased that The Mirror King was your favorite read this month :D
