Christmas Fun + December Recap

December was a crazy month! It was busy at work, at home and with friends. I've been off the past week (and again this week) so it's been great having time to myself and hanging out with everyone. But for some reason getting together for the usual annual Christmas dinners with my favorite ladies didn't quite work as planned? We all decided to push them to January and I'm not complaining. I love the idea of dragging out the holidays just a teeny tiny bit longer.

So Christmas Eve and Day was all about the family! I got dressed up for Christmas Eve mass with my parents and stayed for dinner and to bake cupcakes. Then the next day, everyone came over dressed in ugly sweaters and it was amazing! I think I want the cousins to choose a theme every year for Christmas from now on. It was just so much fun! We ate a lot, sang Christmas carols, took plenty of pictures and exchanged gifts. My youngest cousin got me for the third (!) time which made us both laugh. Everyone was so happy with their presents. Especially me! (One of his many gifts included the new box set of The Mortal Instruments!)

Onto the pictures!
Us in all our ugly Christmas sweater glory. It was so freakishly warm that day
that we had to turn on the A/C to survive in our sweaters.

Christmas eve with the parents! // My red velvet cupcakes
With my cousins and cousin-in-law :)

My nephews, god-daughter (the one stuffing her face with a cupcake) and her sister. // With my cousin and dear family friends of ours.

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

  1. It looks like you had the most wonderful holidays, R! I love seeing all of you in the Christmas sweaters (which is an AWESOME theme). We decided to do a dressy holiday party this year, which was also really fun for us! <3
