Flights of Fantasy: December Update

It's nearly the end of 2015 and one of my favorite things that I did this year on the blog was co-hosting the Flights of Fantasy Reading Challenge with Alexa of Alexa Loves Books. It was something we had put together last minute and the fact that 199 of you signed up and participated made us so happy! Not to mention excited for another year of reading fantasy together. (Sign-ups are open!)

In December, I read two fantasy books, The Young Elites by Marie Lu and a re-read of Truthwitch by Susan Dennard. That brings my total fantasies in 2015 to 40! Which is what I was secretly hoping to reach.

For our final update, we're answering this question..

What were your top 5 fantasies in 2015?

My picks shouldn't really surprise anyone and narrowing it down wasn't as hard as I thought it would be! But I did somewhat cheat because I have one honorable mention and one book for 2016 that should absolutely be on your radar.

Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier
Son of the Shadows by Juliet Marillier
The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle
Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
Winter  (The Lunar Chronicles) by Marissa Meyer

Honorable Mention:
The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearson
2016 must-read:
Truthwitch by Susan Dennard
