A Wrinkle in Time Blog Tour: My Collection

There are specific books from my childhood that are the catalysts for the genres I love now. My love of contemporary novels with heroines I could relate to stems from Anne of Green Gables. The escapism and magic I adore in fantasy started with The Harper Hall trilogy. And lastly, the intricacies and plots that fascinate me with sci-fi all began with A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle.

So when Macmillan reached out asking me if I wanted to be a part of the blog tour celebrating the book and its upcoming movie adaptation (t-minus 4 days!) – my answer was a resounding Y E S.

Now for the fun part! If you're a long time follower of my blog or follow me on Instagram, you know I collect editions of Anne of Green Gables. But what you may not know is that I also passively collect copies of A Wrinkle in Time too! And what exactly do I mean by "passively"? It means that I only buy new copies when I happen to stumble upon pretty editions (and I don't stalk them online). But I love the little collection I've built up so far.

1 • This is only available at Barnes & Noble and actually contains the first 3 books in the series!

2 • My favorite edition is this one from Folio Society! It's gorgeous inside and out from the cover to all the beautifully illustrated pages.

3 • I remember seeing this exact copy at my school library in grammar school.

4 • My best friend gifted me the entire Time Quintet set for Christmas years ago. When she did, I ended up re-reading the series. (And still loved it after all this time!)

5910 • These are all accidental finds that I was more than happy to add to my shelves.

6 • I have a huge soft spot for this edition because it's the copy I read as a kid! Unfortunately this isn't the one I actually owned at the time. After I read it, I lent it to my cousin because he had to read it for school and he returned it to me in pieces. So when I saw this for sale at the Salt Lake City Library (of all places) I squealed in excitement. My collection wouldn't be complete without it.

7 • After the Folio Society one, this is the cover I find the next most beautiful. I love the colors!

8 • And lastly, the movie tie-in edition! I'm usually not a fan of the movie tie-ins but this one was extremely well done.
