Links + Loves

Here are some non-bookish articles I really liked this past month and my latest loves.

Links
1 / I used to be a huge fan of the blog A Beautiful Mess but it goes lost in my sea of subscriptions. Luckily Elsie's post, "Has Instagram Come Full Circle?" got on my radar! I loved what she said about juggling curating, filters and timing with wanting to just post whatever and whenever. (Now I follow her on IG!)

2 / PopSugar's "8 Things Everyone Who Has Lived Alone Knows" is very much accurate. 1, 6 (I'm the comfortable with silence type!), and 8 definitely apply to me.

3 / I never heard of "lifestyle inflation" before but once I read the description, I understood 100% what they meant.

4 / In case you didn't know, it was the 20th anniversary of Dawson's Creek on January 21 (I'm so old!). Somehow I missed it but over a week later I figured it out and caught up on articles, chatted with my fellow DC-loving friends and rewatched some of my favorite episodes. One of the best articles I saw was Vox's take on how the Pacey-Joey-Dawson love triangle changed teen soaps forever.

5 / I've had a couple people laugh at me (condescendingly) for using the phrase "best friend" (whatever) but it's truly a label that means the world to me and I'm not the only one who thinks so!

6 / Apparently there's an emotional map of NYC called Crying in Public which is both weird and kind of fascinating. I totally clicked around to see what people posted!

7 / I was a bit late but I've officially hopped on the Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir fangirl train. If you haven't watched their performance to "Moulin Rouge", stop what you're doing and watch now.

Loves

1 / I'd been eyeing Uniqlo's Ultra Light Down Women's Jacket for years and I finally bought it a few weeks ago when it was on sale. It exceeded all my expectations!

2 / I am so in love with new FJÄLKINGE bookshelf from IKEA! I've had it for nearly a month now and I still admire it on a regular basis.

3 / If you follow me on Instagram, you know I've recently been raving about Books are Magic. I ended up buying a sweatshirt which is both adorable and super comfy.
