Flights of Fantasy: May Update (+ Giveaway!)

It's time give the May update for Flights of Fantasy! This month we're going to answer this question:

What's the most underrated fantasy series you'd recommend?

There's no reason for this except pure coincidence but this month, I found myself reading a lot of classic fantasy books. I re-read The Harper Hall trilogy and read The Last Unicorn (finally!) for the first time. And that's sort of my answer. What's underrated? Classics. I think the general inclination is to read the latest and greatest fantasy books (and as bloggers who receive ARCs, we definitely get a bit spoiled with the lack of waiting!), so I sometimes forget to read the oldies. And let me tell you, these books are classics for a reason. They hold up even after all this time. So if there's a fantasy book that came out a while ago and you've been meaning to read it, I recommend bumping it up on your list! Or check out the classics I just read because I seriously love them.

So now for the other important question: How did we all do this month?
Like I mentioned, I re-read The Harper Hall trilogy (which inspired a whole post, coming next month!), The Last Unicorn, and An Ember in the Ashes which brings me to a total of 5 books! I definitely did a lot better this month.

And since we've just about hit the midway mark, we're hosting a giveaway!

  1. I can't wait until the time comes for me to read the Harper Hall trilogy! You've told me nothing but great things, and I'm definitely excited. Plus, I should probably reread The Last Unicorn at some point... YAY FOR FANTASY CLASSICS!
