Hello 2015!

Hello 2015! It's time to set some goals for myself. I would say resolutions but I've never been big on the whole New Years resolution thing. Goals just seems more attainable and I would love love love to see these through.
  • Take care of myself.  I want to go to the gym or take a class regularly. Even if it's just once a week! It's still better than nothing. I can't ignore that I'm getting older and I have to take better care of myself. That means I should probably stop skipping my check-ups with the doctor too.
  • Travel somewhere new. Preferably some place international. (I already know where I want to go!)
  • Get involved. After I watched Emma Watson's UN speech, I haven't been able to stop thinking about how I'd like to do something. I was and still am so inspired by her words. I don't know how or what but I'd like to give back and volunteer at least once this year.
  • New side project.  My best friend and I have been talking the last couple of months about collaborating on a project. We're still figuring it out but I'm very excited!
  • Keep moving forward. I said this last year and I'll say it again: I want to continue moving forward and being less complacent. I want to challenge myself. I want to remember to follow my instincts and do what makes me happy. To always make time for friends, family and me.

Now for some bookish hopes!
  • I want to read all my purchased but unread books. There's a huge stack of them right by my desk.
  • Reading challenges: Goodreads (175 books), Dive Into Diversity (10 books) and Flights of Fantasy (hosted by myself & Alexa; 20-25 books).
  • I'd like to re-read my "favorite" books and see if I still feel the same way.
  • Continue to read a variety or books (more adult!) and outside of my comfort zone.
  • Keep having fun with my blog! Come up with new features, collaborate with bloggers, reach out to authors. I put a lot of work and love into my blog but I never want to take it (or myself) too seriously. It's meant to be a small but fun part of my life where I share my love of books.
Those are my goals for 2015! What are yours?

  2. Your goals sound perfect. Especially taking care of yourself. As for bookish goals, 175 books sounds incredible - good luck! Hope your 2015 is amazing :)

  3. I have so much love for this post! Your personal goals are so spot on (and very similar to what I'm hoping for myself in 2015, particularly the travel bit and the taking care of myself bit). And the bookish ones are great too! I sincerely hope you conquer them all - though I have the utmost faith in you <3
