Fall Reading List

Hello Fall! I normally don't make seasonal reading lists but over the summer, whenever I would look at my TBR cart to pick out what to read next, I kept thinking certain books seemed like fall reads. So I decided I would put those books into a pile and tackle them in October. So here we are! To me, the genres that give me fall vibes are fantasy, paranormal, and of course, mystery. (Horror too given that Hallowen is weeks away but that's just not my cup of tea.)

Here's what I'm planning to read this month and maybe it'll inspire you to pick these up too!

  1. Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh - I've been slowly binge-reading this series with Alexa and we're down to the last two books this month (which I already finished!). We have a fun event planned at the end of the month to discuss our thoughts but man, I am loving this series so much.
  2. The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle #1) by Patrick Rothfuss - This is one of Kristin's favorite books and she gifted it to me for Christmas. I'm excited to finally read this high fantasy novel.
  3. Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin - I've heard nothing but good things and I'm really hoping it lives up to the hype.
  4. The Diviners by Libba Bray - Alexa has been raving about this series to me and when she gifted me the first book, I no longer had any excuses to not read it.
  5. Song of Blood & Stone by L. Penelope - This was highly recommended by DJ which is why I decided to buy it. He and I both love books with a lot of romance so I have a good feeling about this one.
  6. The Dead List by Jennifer L. Armentrout - I've read almost all of JLA's books except for three (I think?) and this is one of them. When I got this special ApollyCon copy, I knew I had to stop putting it off and read it.
  7. From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout - Another JLA book I haven't read yet and considering it's about vampires, I think it's perfect for this time of the year.
  8. Rebel Rose (The Queen's Council #1) by Emma Theriault - I'm buddy reading this with Alexa! It's historical fantasy set in France with a fairytale twist. I mean, how can I resist this?
  9. And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie - I've been wanting to read this book for forever. I recently bought a copy and it was a perfect fit for my themed reading list.

I may have been overly ambitious because I'm realizing this is a pretty long list! (Plus have you see Name of the Wind? I feel like that should count as two books!) But I've crossed off two books so far. That means 8 books left to go over the next 24 days. Maybe I can finish them all? Wish me luck!
