Here are some non-bookish articles I really liked this past month and my latest loves.

Links
1 / Verily's "'Find Your Tribe': The Importance of Women-Only Groups" really resonated with me. I went to an all-girls high school (and absolutely saw the benefit) and often sought out female friendships since I grew up with four guy cousins. No matter how old you are or what stage of your life you're in, it's so important to have women you can call your besties!

2 / Career Girl Daily shared "5 Important Career Lessons You Learn Late In Life" and as someone who's been working for 14 (!) years, I can attest to every single one of them.

3 / I love plants but I am terrible at taking care of them, which is 99% of my houseplants are fake with the exception of my un-killable ZZ plant. But that doesn't stop me from admiring plants and looking at pretty planters. Apartment Therapy put together a list of 15 places to buy planters from and I already see some I like!

4 / I saw this post on Self about a month ago and told myself I needed to give these a try. Unsurprisingly, I haven't yet! But it's "22 Stretching Workouts on YouTube That Will Soothe Your Muscles and Loosen You Up" which I absolutely need because working from my dining table isn't doing my shoulders and back any favors.

5 / Ever since The Daily Meal posted their list of best ice cream shops per state, I have been determined to go to Cliff's Homemade Ice Cream in NJ. Of course, the day I finally make the 40 minute drive out there, they run out of ice cream! But that just makes me think The Daily Meal was really on to something with this list.

6 / If you haven't heard AOC's speech in response to being verbally accosted by a fellow representative, then you need to go and listen to this now. To be honest, I've only seen snippets of her other speeches before but I listened to this whole video and was riveted the entire time. She is an incredibly eloquent speaker.

7 / It's crazy to me that people are flying and going on vacations when we're in the middle of a pandemic. It doesn't seem safe at all and this article from Elite Daily shares my feelings on the matter

8 / That being said, once traveling is deemed safe again, this list of beautiful under-the-radar destinations from The Global Grasshopper will totally serve as inspiration for my next adventure.

Loves

1 / Real-talk time: the blackheads on my nose and chin has been such an issue for me, even as an adult. I've been relying on Biore strips for years but honestly, I still feel like it didn't get everything. Then I saw this blackhead remover vacuum on Amazon and omg it is 10x more effective. It did take me a couple tries to get the hang of it but now I use it multiple times per week.

2 / Madewell's gold wavy bobby pins have become a staple hair accessory for me while working from home. They actually hold my hair back well and make my hair seem more put together.

3 / I've had this pancake mold from Amazon on my wishlist for years but I put off buying it because it just didn't seem like something I truly needed. Cut to a couple weeks ago when I finally caved and I'm kicking myself for not buying it sooner. Making pancakes got so much easier.
