Table for Two #26: Ample Hills Creamery

For this month's Table for Two, I'll be chatting about Ample Hills Creamery and Alexa is featuring Seamore's.

Where  |  Ample Hills Creamery, 141 8th Avenue
Cuisine  |  Ice cream
Price  |  $ Inexpensive

What we ordered
  • Rachel: 1 scoop of The Munchies (pretzel-infused ice cream with housemade munchies mix-in: ritz crackers, potato chips, pretzels & crushed M&Ms), 1 scoop of Snap Mallow Pop (marshmallow ice cream with baked and buttery rice krispie clusters), waffle cone
  • Alexa: 1 scoop of Nonna D's Oatmeal Lace (brown sugar cinnamon ice cream is mixed with crispy oatmeal lace cookies), 1 scoop of Sweet Cream & Cookies (sweet cream ice cream mixed with sandwich creme cookies), waffle cone

What we thought
We'd tried Ample Hills a few years ago at their stall at Gotham West Market and while we liked it, I personally didn't love it as much as I thought I would. But I was still excited to give them another try when we saw their standalone shop in Chelsea and they did not disappoint! The shop was cute and colorful and they had way more options than I remembered. I honestly didn't know what to choose at first but then I decided to go with The Munchies (I'm a fan of sweet & salty combos) and Snap Mallow Pop, which they're known for. It was delicious! I love the texture of their ice cream and their flavors are the right mix of sweet without being overly so. Alexa felt the same about hers and we were both much more impressed this time around.

  1. I really enjoyed this visit to Ample Hills more! It helps that there was an actual place to sit and enjoy our ice cream properly, and I really liked the ice cream I got.
