What I'm Listening To | January

Each month I'll share five songs I'm been loving all month and hopefully you'll find a song or two (or all of them!) to love as well.

Just press play to listen to all the songs!

Here You Come Again (Dumplin' Remix)
- Dolly Parton | I have Dumplin' to thank for getting me hooked on this song! It was played during a pivotal scene and I could not get it out of my head for days.

Say It - Maggie Rogers | Her new album Heard It In a Past Life only came out a week ago and already this is my second most played song in the last 30 days. Last Friday I pretty much had this one song on repeat for hours. I love songs that pair catchy beats with meaningful heart-wrenching lyrics.

Clap Snap - Icona Pop | I've heard this song before but Shiri Appleby re-introduced it to me when she posted a video of her and her trainer dancing to it. It's been perfect to listen to while driving or when I need a wake-up call at my desk.

Better Now (Post Malone Cover) - Yuna | I love, love,  love the unique spins Yuna brings to the covers she does so I was excited to see her release one for Better Now (I also love the original).

California Friends - The Regrettes | You know how I keep saying that I miss finding rock/punk/indie bands to fall in love with? Well, I discovered The Regrettes this month and they just might fit the bill! I've been playing three of their songs constantly but especially this one. I'm excited to hear their new album!

I cannot fall in love with you
I knew it when you looked my way
That I'd be begging you to stay
I couldn't say it to myself

Which song is your favorite?

Here's my full December playlist if you want to know what else I'm listening to!

  1. I love Maggie Rogers and her album so dang much! It doesn't surprise me that Say It is your favorite; Retrograde is still mine.
