Table for Two #20: Grace Street Cafe

For this month's Table for Two, I'll be chatting about Grace Street Cafe and Alexa is featuring Nomo Kitchen.

Grace Street Cafe is this cute and unexpectedly spacious cafe right by Alexa's office (lucky her!). They specialize in Asian-inspired desserts and teas which meant it was right up our alley for an after-work treat (aka dinner since we both ordered a lot!). There were so many things to choose from that one visit would definitely not be enough. But at least for this first trip, I ordered a Churro Waffle (cinnamon sugar, caramel, vanilla ice cream) and ube coconut latte. Alexa got the Maple Waffle (maple syrup, berries, bananas, whipped cream) and rose petal milk tea. Then we got The O.G. Shaved Snow (black sesame snow, strawberry, mochi, red bean, misugaru, condensed milk) to share.

It was all delicious! The Churro waffle was just the right amount of sweet and filling. The latte art was pretty and the drink itself very tasty. And that shaved snow cream! It was all the flavors I love in one great dessert (you can never go wrong with black sesame, mochi and condensed milk) and again, it was just the right amount of sweet to curb my usual sweet tooth cravings.

I definitely want to go to try more waffles, snow cream and lattes!

You can find Grace Street Cafe at 17 W 32nd St.

Alexa of Alexa Loves Books and I have teamed up to bring you Table for Two, a collaboration that involves two of our favorite things - New York City and food. The two of us will be highlighting restaurants and dessert spots in New York City. You'll be hearing our personal opinions on the place and the food, as well as where you can go to try it out for yourself.

  1. Can we please go back to Grace Street Cafe sometime soon? I always forget that it's so easily accessible and has such wonderful offerings for food and drink until I see it mentioned again.
