Links + Loves

Here are some non-bookish articles I really liked this past month and my latest loves.

Links
1 / The Anna Edit touches on a interesting topic – the abundance of social media platforms to share your thoughts on but she still loves blogging and believes certain types of content still lends itself better to a blog. I totally agree!

2 / As someone whose spent most of her life single, I really like what PopSugar has to say about chemistry being an important part of a relationship. I believe in that spark even if I haven't experienced it myself.

3 / I love following Taza and her family on her blog and Instagram and she shares how the littlest of gestures can mean the world. I felt unexpectedly moved by her post because it's just so true and she writes so genuinely.

4 / The Travelettes created a list of "most epic train journeys in the world" and I really want to travel on the Trans-Siberian Railroad now.

5 / I don't need to be convinced of the importance of using vacation days but in case you're one of those crazy people who do, Away Travel provides 5 good reasons why you should.

6 / Christina Aguilera did a Carpool Karaoke and ugh, her voice is just so amazing live. I need a new album from her ASAP.

7 / The EveryGirl is on point (as usual!) with the topics they cover but their posts on "Dating an Asian Woman" and "What You Learn About Being An Only Child While You're an Adult" really struck a chord with me.

8 / My favorite author talks about hobbies, creativity and what to do when something you love becomes your job. It's something I've thought a lot about and why I've explored new hobbies like photography and ukulele (in addition to my love of reading!).

Loves

1 / Carina told me about Instant Pot and I had already noticed that some of my favorite recipe sites kept mentioning it too. I decided to buy one, made pork carnitas with it and wow, I can't wait to use it some more!

2 / I've been trying to pickier about everything I buy and that includes tote bags! But there are just so many cute ones. And when I saw this pink Books Are Magic tote, I couldn't resist.

3 / I love candles and while I've been buying mostly bookish ones, when I saw all the jasmine and rose scented candles on DW Home, I impulsively bought 3 and they smell amazing. They just added a new one called Magic Unicorn that I'm going to buy next!

  1. I still want to travel the Trans-Siberian railway too! Macky and I talk about doing that every so often, so maybe one year, it'll actually happen.
