Links + Loves

Here are some non-bookish articles I really liked this past month and my latest loves.

Links
1 / I related to Sunday Chapter's post on "How to Overcome Burnout and Keep Motivated". It's basically everything I try to do except it doesn't alway happen.

2 / I always forget that October is Filipino American History Month (I know, I'm the worst) but I got a great reminder when I read the Huffington Post's article about why we celebrate it.

3 / I enjoy reading other people's closet purge stories, especially since I've been purging mine frequently in the last two years.

4 / Jill Solloway's editorial on locker room talk and toxic masculinity is definitely worth taking the time to read.

5 / This this this: "7 Single Girl Tropes We Need to Stop Perpetuating" on Bustle.

6 / I've been a big fan of Timothy Goodman ever since he did 40 Days of Dating and I love his perspective on how to grow as a designer. The "Killing Creative Blocks" section of this article is the best part.

7 / It's important to realize that sometimes, it's not you but the job that's the problem. Some workplaces are just toxic (my first job totally falls into this category).

8 / It's so important to blog for you. It's how I've approached blogging and it's why I believe I continue to enjoy it.

9 / As someone who enjoys having "me" time, I agree with this article 99.9%. (Also introverts FTW.)

Loves
1 / MAC's Liptensity in Driftwood has been my go-to lipstick these days. They have a lot of pretty shades though!

2 / I don't bring lunch to work every day but I do pack breakfast every morning and I've been using this cute (and very me) bag to carry it in.

3 / During the work week, there are usually just a few things I need with me when I run out to get lunch or a coffee. And those things are: Metro card, building ID, debit card and my phone. So I got this card holder in lavender and I'm really happy with the purchase.
