Links + Loves

Here are some non-bookish articles I really liked this past month and my latest loves.

Links
1 / Orphan Black is one of my all-time favorite TV shows so it shouldn't be a surprise to hear that I'm a huge Tatiana Maslany fan. She recently did an interview with Vogue to talk about She-Hulk and what made her decide to take on the role.

2 / I'm not ready to give up my jeans and t-shirt weather just yet but looking at Crystalin Marie's list of 10 fall pieces already in her closet that she's excited to re-wear did make me want to go through my own closet.. and go shopping.

3 / The Everygirl always has great posts but these three in particular were total clickbait for me: "The Correct Order to Apply Your Skincare Products" (I needed this!), "10 Things You Always Need to Pack In Your Personal Item" (yes to all these things), and "11 Bucket-List Trips Everyone Should Take at Least Once in Their Lifetime" (I've done 4 out of the 11!).

4 / Wit & Whimsy's post on Paris Cafe Etiquette was so interesting! Even though I've been, I don't think I ever noticed these little details before and as far as I can remember, I don't think I've made any of these faux pas either.

5 / When I saw the post "I Feel Grief Over My Best Friend's Pregnancy" on Cup of Jo, I'll be honest -- I had no idea what to expect but, read it. It's ultimately an honest ode to an incredible, lifelong friendship.

6 / Apartment Therapy defines the term "joybreak" and I'm into it. I think we all need to add this word to our 2022 dictionary.

7 / According to Nylon (and TikTok apparently), side parts are making a comeback. Which was news to me because I never realized they went out of style! I've had my hair in a side part for the last 23 years.

Loves

1 / Maybelline's
SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick is one of my new favorite lip products. I struggle with nude colors that don't wash me out and this one is perfect!

2 / After my hairstylist recently used the BaBylissPRO Nano Flat Iron on my hair, I ordered one the next day and I've been using it regularly ever since.

3 / Ever since I'd been told by multiple makeup/skincare people that I have dehydrated oily skin, I've been trying to mix up my skincare routine a bit. I read that rosewater is great for my skin type so I added the Heritage Store Rosewater Serum and Rose Oil to my routine and I'm very happy with the results so far! I highly recommend the brand plus it's very budget friendly.
