Links + Loves

Here are some non-bookish articles I really liked this past month and my latest loves.

Links
1 / There are so many coronavirus articles and blog posts so I'll get this out of the way now and share a few I found helpful: The Atlantic's "What If You Start Coughing", Forge's "How to be Creative and Productive in Times of Panic", Medium's "What To Buy (and Skip) to Prepare" and The Everygirl's "How Not to Go Insane When You Live Alone During COVID-19." But of course, check the CDC site regularly for the the most accurate information.

2 / I'm admittedly not a Dakota Johnson fan but after watching a tour of her house for Architectural Digest, I might be one now? At the very least, I'm a huge fan of her house even though it's not totally my style.

3 / I recently discovered Verily and one of the contributors shared this sweet and honest post about how she knew her husband was "the one."

4 / I can't believe Alex Karev is no longer on Grey's Anatomy! His friendship with Meredith became one of my favorite parts of the show. And PopSugar compiled this awesome list of Alex and Meredith moments.

5 / Cupcakes and Cashmere shared "Every French Beauty Product I Bought in Paris (And Where to Find Them Online)" and I can attest that the Nuxe body oil, Homeoplasmine, and Avene products are totally worth it.

6 / I love scallion pancakes so I was excited to see that Extra Petite shared a recipe for it! Since I have a lot more time to cook now, I may have to give this a try.

7 / I've been a long time follower of Arielle Charnas on Instagram and her recent antics felt really off but I couldn't put my finger on why exactly. Then Sophie Ross shared this eye-opening thread on Twitter that put it perfectly into words, complete with receipts. Needless to say, I've since unfollowed Arielle. But it's quite the crazy rabbit hole if you want to read some gossip!

Loves
1 / Rather than to hunt for bottles of water, I decided to buy a Brita filter instead. I've been using it for a couple weeks now and it's great. Totally worth it and not a bad price at all.

2 / I bought one Casper pillow a year ago but I have to admit, it didn't help with my neck problems the way I hoped it would. I just got these from Amazon a couple weeks ago and I immediately felt a difference after one night.

3 / I've had this Levoit air purifier since November and I was using it on and off. But once we all had to shelter in place, I found myself using it almost 24/7 and on the days when I didn't, I noticed a difference. I have a lot of allergies (to pollen and dust) and this helps a lot.

  1. I love scallion pancakes so I'm definitely going to have to try that recipe too! And yeahhhh, the Arielle Charnas stuff is a major thumbs down.

  2. I still need to check out these pillows! We replaced ours not so long ago, but I do think we could afford to find pillows that are much more comfortable.
