Links + Loves

Here are some non-bookish articles I really liked this past month and my latest loves.

Links
1 / I will never not share a blog post the promotes "The Perks of Solo Travel". I get that it's not for everyone but if you've never seriously considered it before, maybe World of Wanderlust can convince you.

2 / With a title like "It’s time to switch to a four-day working week," I was bound to click on it and wholeheartedly agree.

3 / Estelle and I always share with each other the friendship articles that we find (shameless plug: check our Instagram project @friendsreadhere) and the recent one she sent me is a doozy. There are so many sides to this story and I wasn't sure how I felt by the end of it and I think we can all agree that friendships can be complicated.

4 / Time recently shared an article about how spending time with friends is one of the best things you can do for your health.

5 / I just discovered that The Creme Shop has a collection of Hello Kitty skincare (think lip balm, hand lotion, face masks) and I'm in love. I haven't bought anything yet but my cart is pretty full.

6 / Calling all Veronica Mars fans! I'm assuming my fellow marshmallows know that season 4 will premiere on July 26 and as of July 1, seasons 1-3 is now available for streaming on Hulu. I've already started my rewatch but in case you don't have time to watch everything, Vox put together a list of every episode ranked from worst to best.

7 / I'm a huge fan of Florence + the Machine and the recent profile Florence Welch did with Vogue only makes me admire her more.

8 / Damsel in Dior answers the question "Is Blogging a Dying Industry?" and I really liked what she had to say about it. I won't deny there are some days when I wonder why I still do this and if/when I'll ever stop. But I still love having this little bit of space on the Internet and even though it'll never be "big," I'm okay with that.

Loves
1 / For my birthday, Kristin gifted me with the cutest Anne of Green Gables mug. I've been using it ever since she gave it to me!

2 / I am sucker for moonstone jewelry since that (and pearl) are my birthstones. When I saw this ring on Missoma, I couldn't help myself! (But be proud, there's a ton of moonstone jewelry that I want to order from there but I'm showing some restraint. For now 😂)

3 / After hearing so many good things about these Everlane crossover sandals from my favorite bloggers, I decided to order them. The sandal, especially in rose, is so pretty in person and I'm very happy with purchase. I will admit that they're super flat with no support, so while I wouldn't recommend them for a day of walking in the city, I do think they're a great alternative to flip flops.
