Table for Two #19: Pizza Loves Emily

For this month's Table for Two, I'll be chatting about Pizza Loves Emily and Alexa is featuring Creamistry.

I love pizza but it's rarely something I choose for dinner with friends. It's more of a Friday night and I don't feel like cooking kind of meal. Which is exactly why I wanted us to go to Pizza Loves Emily! One, the name is super cute and two, these are not your average slices. Their pizza comes in wood fire round pies or Sicilian style. The latter is divided into three categories: the reds (for classic marinara sauce), the pinks (vodka sauce), the greens (tomatillo sauce), and the whites (no sauce). We ordered The Mimi (red sauce, ricotta, roaster garlic, mushrooms, basil) and Emily (wood fire round with pistachio, honey, truffle Sottocenere). Everything was delicious as it sounds! I preferred the Sicilian style but I loved how the flavors mixed together on the Emily. I mean I've never had pistachios or honey on my pizza but it totally won me over. We just loved their unique menu and there's even more to try out like pasta, burgers and curly fries (which we did get).

All in all, it was a cute place with great service and good food. I highly recommend it and would love to go back!

You can find Pizza Loves Emily at 35 Downing Street.

The two of us will be highlighting restaurants and dessert spots in New York City. You'll be hearing our personal opinions on the place and the food, as well as where you can go to try it out for yourself.
