Links + Loves

Here are some non-bookish articles I really liked this past month and my latest loves.

Links
1 / I am forever wishing time would slow down (except when I'm at work) and PopSugar shared this interesting post about how to do that by seeing things with "fresh eyes".

2 / "What if we just gave ourselves permission to mutually acknowledge each other's honest human need for significance." Super thoughtful post on The Daybook on wanting to be seen or noticed.

3 / "How to Take a Creative Sabbatical When You Have a 9-5" according to Darling Magazine – aka how to make my fantasy a reality one day.

4 / Note To Self is a blog that inspired me a lot back in the day so I'm glad she's blogging again. What she says about creativity and going back to basics resonated with me. (Speaking of which, I keep saying I want to go back to writing posts just like that and it's hard!)

5 / Apparently there's going to be a Roswell reboot and as usual, I feel half-excited and half-terrified about it. Maybe they can just redo season 3 and call it a day?

6 / If you read only one thing on this list of links, it should be this article from The Cut. Wow, incredibly well-said.

7 / The Everygirl's 5 signs you need a mental break = me right now. But my break will have to wait until Thanksgiving week!

8 / Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa were on the TODAY show this past week to talk about lupus and what they went through together with the kidney transplant. Very moving to hear their story.

Loves

1 / As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I'm really in love with my ukulele at the moment and I'm determined to get much better at it! You can find surprisingly cheap ones on Amazon.

2 / I know instant coffee gets a bad rap but I saw an article in NYMag about how Mount Hagen is the best instant coffee last year and that's basically all I've bought ever since (bought for my apartment, that is).

3 / Neutral nail polishes are my fave and my latest obsession is Wild Nude by Essie.

  1. That neutral shade of nail polish is such a pretty color! I need to invest in more nude nail colors for my collection.
