Table for Two #3: Sticky Rice

For this month's Table for Two, I'll be chatting about Sticky Rice and Alexa is featuring Soft Swerve.

I love Thai food so when we were looking for a restaurant near Soft Swerve, I was excited to find Sticky Rice. It's a cute little restaurant with a lot of food options! As soon as we sat down to look at the menu, we pretty much wanted to try everything. Which is why my favorite part about the place was their dinner combo which let you choose two appetizers, one entree and any of their specialty drinks. I ended up getting a spring roll, Thai dumplings and shrimp pad thai while Alexa got the Thai beggar's pouch, chicken satay and fried rice. The portions were definitely perfect for us but unfortunately, a bit too spicy for me which I wasn't expecting. We did end up liking our food though but not quite loving it. That said, I would still come back again if we were in the neighborhood to see if I had better luck next time. (I would totally ask if something was spicy or not!)

You can find Sticky Rice on  85 Orchard St.

Let us know if you check it out!

Alexa of Alexa Loves Books and I have teamed up to bring you Table for Two, a collaboration that involves two of our favorite things - New York City and food. The two of us will be highlighting restaurants and dessert spots in New York City. You'll be hearing our personal opinions on the place and the food, as well as where you can go to try it out for yourself.

  1. Those drinks look AMAZING. I love when restaurants give you a sampler plate. I usually go for the same thing when I go out to eat, but sometimes I can't decide so a little bit of everything is always a great option!

  2. The portions for our meal were really great, like you mentioned. It's a shame that the food was pretty average for us both though!
