Book BFF Roulette

Alexa, Kelly, Hannah and I teamed up to do Book Boy Roulette last year to talk about our favorite book boys. Now we’re back again (sadly, without Hannah!) to talk about our favorite book ladies this time. These are the women we either identify with or would want to be BFFs with. Or both!

Each of us will feature three different series on our blogs, and reveal each other’s choices for that particular series, as well as our own. All of these women are amazing but we each picked one and talked about why she’s the person we’d want to be BFFs with.

SERIES #1: Off-Campus by Elle Kennedy
BOOKS IN THE SERIES: The Deal, The Mistake, The Score

I just got hooked on this series recently and I knew immediately that my answer would be Hannah Wells from The Deal. That first book, not to mention Hannah and her guy Garret Graham, are my favorites among the three books. I related to her in a lot of ways! I totally got wanting to step out of your comfort zone and wanting the guy you think is cute to notice you. But I especially loved her honesty, feisty nature and how devoted she is to the people she cares about.

SERIES #2: Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry
BOOKS IN THE SERIES: Pushing the Limits, Dare You To, Crash Into You, Take Me On

I’m a big Katie McGarry fan and Pushing the Limits is the book that introduced me to her. At the time, it was just so different from anything I had read and I felt so much for Echo as I learned her backstory. I think each of the female protagonists are memorable in their own way (except for Rachel) but Echo’s combination of vulnerability and strength has always stuck with me the most.

SERIES #3: The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
BOOKS IN THE SERIES: Cinder, Scarlett, Cress and Winter

I’m starting to notice a pattern here. All my favorite leading ladies (at least the ones I’m discussing here) are from the first book in their respective series! But I honestly loved every single heroine in The Lunar Chronicles. I love how different they all are and at the end of each installment, it felt like I had a new favorite. But.. that being said, in the end it always came back to Cinder. Even as we got to know a new set of characters, I always wanted to know when Cinder would pop up. So it made sense to choose her!

  1. Yay for this special post collab! I'm loving the fact that we never really have to share our favorites (since you and I are rarely alike). And I like that I can trace the connections between you and your faves, Kelly and her faves and me and mine! :D
