Stacking the Shelves (30)

It has been quite the month of books! ALAMW notwithstanding, I've been excited for the month of January. Two of my most anticipated books of 2016 came out on the same day and it would be the start of some very deliberate book buying from here on out.

As part of my bookish goals I mentioned that I wanted to keep my physical TBR low. The ideal would be a constant 10, even better would be 5 and the dream is 0. That means setting some limits when it comes to buying books each month. Honestly, I'm not that bad. I tend to buy what I've already read but it's hard to ignore awesome prices (I'm looking at you BookOutlet! Amazon too!). That said, after a lot of thinking (and discussion with Alexa), I'm limiting myself to 5 physical books per month and no limit on e-books as long as they're under $5. I'm pretty sure I'll be buying less than that, with only a few exceptions (like January). And so far, I'm off to a good start!

What new books have you guys gotten lately?

  1. Yay for new books! And yay for being extra conscious (and pickier) about what books to spend your money on! As for TBRs, MY dream is to get mine down to 25. That would be absolutely lovely, considering it's currently at 60 (not including review reads). TEACH ME YOUR WAYS!
