Rehoboth Beach, DE

It's been years since I've gone to beach and since Carina, Loren and I have done any sort of weekend getaway. Both were overdue and this past weekend, we drove to Rehoboth Beach in DE. We hadn't been there before but I can definitely see us going back. It's really nice if all you want to do is lie around on the beach, eat and go shopping. Basically three of my favorite things! I got a little tan, ate a lot and probably shopped too much but it was very much worth it.

Lying on the beach, with my new hat and my new book which I ended up not reading (until today - it's awesome so far!) // Delicious seafood bisque from Jake's Seafood House

More of our lunch from Jake's Seafood! The oysters were probably the best I've had and then we tried their famous crab cake. Yum!
I can't resist a bookstore and I ended up buying two books. But be proud, they're both adult fiction! // View of one of the many side streets filled with stores
Salted caramel truffle ice cream from Double Dippers! I couldn't pass this place up. // Pretty sunset as we walked around the downtown area
On Sunday, we had breakfast at The Point Coffee House and Bake Shoppe and their iced coffee was SO good! It didn't even need cream and sugar and I almost always overload my coffee with both. Afterwards, we spent the rest of the day outlet shopping which I've been wanting to do for months. DE is seriously the place to go for this. // View of a pretty bridge during the drive back home to reality.

[P.S. We did remember to take one group picture but since my eyes were still red I look super tired so.. I'm not posting it! :)]

  1. It looks like you girls had an amazing weekend getaway! I love the look of the place you've visited, particularly the picture of the street and the exterior of the bookstore. Glad you had an amazing time! (What adult fiction books did you get? DO SHARE.)
