RACHEL • "Not Going Home" by Great Good Fine Ok
I was having a pretty blah yesterday and feeling a bit insecure about some stuff. Anyway, I got home, turned on my computer to work on some stuff (while eating dinner and chatting with friends!) and ended up listening to this song like 5 times in a row. It's one of those songs that's misleading - it sounds upbeat since it's catchy but the lyrics tell a different story. He sings about how he's usually not the type to make a big deal out of things but he'd just love if this person would notice him. Which can be interpreted in so many ways. I love, love, love the way Not Going Home sounds. I don't know, it feels like the kind of song I'd listen to on the way home from a road trip this summer, sun setting, staring out the window. (And yes, I'm aware this sounds pretty dramatic!)
