Rachel & Carina's Infinite Playlist (65)

RACHEL • "Tear You Down" by RAC (ft. Alex Ebert)
This is the kind of song that makes you long for summer (although I pretty much wish it was summer 24/7 these days). I can just see myself blasting this with the windows down and singing along. Even though the lyrics aren't exactly bright and shiny, it sounds like a really happy song. Plus if you didn't know, Alex Ebert is the lead singer of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros which is a band I really like so it doesn't surprise me that I'm loving this.

CARINA • "Pursuit of Happiness" by Kid Cudi (Lissie Cover)
Been kind of anxious lately and music always seems to calm my nerves. The original version is still my fave but Lissie definitely gave it her own original twist.

  1. I've never heard Tear You Down before, but I'm in love. You're right, it's totally one of those "summer, windows down, blasting music" songs. It kind of makes me think of Pumped Up Kicks. That song is SO not happy and pleasant, but it sounds like it is!

Ohhh and that cover of Pursuit of Happiness has always been one of my favorites.

  2. I'm totally obsessed with Tear You Down after listening to it today! It's just exactly the kind of song that you described it as --> "I can just see myself blasting this with the windows down and singing along". Can summer get here soon please?
