Top Ten Books I've Read So Far in 2013

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/meme created by The Broke and the Bookish, where bloggers share their top ten answers every week.

(in no particular order...)
  1. Just One Day by Gayle Forman | review
  2. Tell the Wolves I'm Home by Carol Rifka Brunt | review
  3. Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare | review
  4. Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi | review
  5. Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo | review
  6. The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa | review
  7. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes | review
  8. The Book of Broken Hearts  by Sarah Ockler | review
  9. Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas | (review coming in August!)
  10. Fingerprints of You by Kristen-Paige Madonia | review
What I've noticed about my top ten favorite books of the year so far? They've either involved a lot of crying, a lot of swooning or both.

  1. Things I Can't Forget by Miranda Kenneally | review - It's not a favorite but I haven't forgotten the experience of reading it. It's thought-provoking, tested my patience and I really had to be open-minded to what the MC felt and acted.
  2. Jennifer L. Armentrout - I only mention the author's name because I went from reading none of her books to ALL OF THEM in the last 7 months. Clearly I am a fan.
  3. Something Strange & Deadly by Susan Dennard | review - I love Daniel and Susan (and Eleanor). That is all.

  1. I want to hug your list!!! So many good books on it. I started Fingerprints of You a while back and really loved it... but had to turn it back into the library. Must pick it up again!

  2. So happy to see Tell the Wolves I'm Home on this list! That was such a great book and I loved it to pieces—plus the cover is awesome also. ;) Me Before You is a book I really need to pick up, considering all the awesome things I've heard about it. Same for The Book of Broken Hearts!

  3. I'm so happy to see Through the Ever Night on here! My obsession with that series is unlike any other because Perry + Aria = LOVE. Oh! And Estelle lent me Fingerprints of You so I'm glad to see you liked that one since I have no clue what it's about.

  4. I love that you just included JLA's picture! I would've never been able to choose too, if I had read them all this year. As it is, I had to include Opal and Apollyon on my list because, well, they are so AWESOME!

  5. On a purely superficial note, Tell The Wolves I'm Home has to be one of the most beautiful book covers I've ever seen. As unbelievable as it might sound, I very well might pick up that book purely because of that (Although, thankfully, it does sound really interesting as well!)

Through The Ever Night and Fingerprints Of You are both currently sitting unread on my TBR bookshelves, but after seeing them make numerous appearances on other blogger's TTT lists this week, I'm all the more anxious to read them. I also need to pick up Me Before You, which I've heard nothing but universal praise for.

Great list! I loved some of the new and unique choices you made :D
