When I looked at the books I ended up featuring for this month's BookBags, the first thing I noticed was that they were all contemporaries. The next thing I noticed? They all had unconventional, yet totally swoon-worthy romances. (Hence the title name.) Hope you enjoy these pairings! And if you haven't read these books yet.. you definitely should.
I took one look at the bright red cover of Me Before You and immediately thought of my red cambridge satchel (yes, I own this equally bright bag). It was such an obvious pairing once I saw them side-by-side. The satchel comes in a few different styles and a bunch of different colors and you can get it monogrammed if you like. It's one of my favorite bags, even though I don't use it nearly enough.
I had wanted to include Just One Day in my first BookBags post but no bags caught my eye. Then I saw this one on the newly launched Kate Spade Saturday website. Kate Spade is one of my favorite brands and their new Saturday line is so much fun! Lots of cute styles and different colors/patterns.
So I chose E&P as a challenge for myself because even though I love the cover, I knew finding a bag to match would be hard. When I couldn't find anything on my staple shopping sites, I went to Polyvore and just aimlessly scrolled through whatever they had listed. Then I came across the Cartable Mini Crossbody bag and I (internally) screamed - I KNOW THOSE COLORS! And what do you know, they were a perfect match for the words Eleanor & Park.
Which bag and/or book is your favorite?

Okay so I love all three of these that it's kind of hard to choose but I guess I'll go with Kate Spade Saturday Top Handle Satchel. But I just can't ignore the other two. At all.

I haven't read any of these books but they are on my TBR list! I've heard so many great things about each of them.

I want the Cambridge Satchel! I've been interested in them for a long time, but haven't quite saved up the money to buy it yet. Hopefully soon! But you have great picks for this round of Book Bags :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Eleanor & Park bag! Not something I'd normally buy, but it totally looks like the cover! Very cute. I also really like the Cambridge Satchel; makes me think about traveling!
ReplyDeleteThe Cambridge Satchel! Oh my, I want it! So bad! I've been looking for a cute bag I can tote around on a light spring day and that is it! Maybe in a different color but still, I love it! Also, the Kate Spade is so cute! :) Great picks!

ReplyDeleteI think I love the Classic Cambridge Satchel most but I haven't read Me Before You. I liked Just One Day a lot, though! This is such an awesome idea!
