Rachel & Carina's Infinite Playlist (7)

RACHEL • "Baby" by Devendra Banhart
What I love about Devendra Banhart songs (granted, I only know two) is how he manages to be both upbeat and mellow at the same time.  His songs never fail to make me bob my head along to the music but I could totally just sit back and relax to this too. The song does end kind of suddenly though (which I didn't realize until my like 20th play) but I love those last lines: because you showed me a sunset overflowing, but who cares where it's going as long as you're next to me..

I don't have anything else to say except listen to this and enjoy! (And check out his song Lover too!)

CARINA • "Young Blood" by The Naked and Famous
I don't usually like choosing the same artist two weeks in a row but I've put "Young Blood" by The Naked and Famous on repeat since last week's post. My mood has been up and down lately and I needed a song that could just take my mind off things. For some reason this song did just that. Each time I felt my self slipping into this weird feeling, I'd listen to this song and within seconds my mind would forget all the confusion that has been surrounding my head recently. This song reminds me of carefree days, laughter, tight hugs, first kisses and long conversations that you never want to end. Yes, I got all of that from a song. Hopefully it'll give you the same feeling, if not, I hope you at least enjoy listening to it!

  1. Loving the picks again this week! This is the first time I've heard of Devendra Banhart but he has some good foot-tapping music! Also, LOVE The Naked And Famous. I was just re-watching Prom for like the 100th time today (if you haven't seen it, watch it! Such a cute movie!) and that song is in it. It makes me smile every time I hear it as well :)
