Rachel & Carina's Infinite Playlist (1)

Carina and I were talking and tweeting music yesterday when she said that we should start a trend -- Thursday dance song day.  I laughed, saying it was a great idea.  Then I thought about it some more and said: no, we should BLOG about it and call it Rachel & Carina's Infinite Playlist

Welcome to our first post :)

We're each going to pick a song every Friday and write a lil' something about our choice.  We both love music, so this'll be a fun way to share what we're listening to!

RACHEL • "As The World Falls Down" by Girl In A Coma
I was trying to find new music by checking out one of the latest playlists on KROQ but none of the songs were standing out to me. Until I heard this. When I realized what it was, I wanted to jump out of my seat and yell, Labyrinth! (Which I didn't do because I was at work.) This is an awesome cover of a David Bowie song and one that had me reminiscing about one of my favorite movies.

CARINA • "It's Time" by Imagine Dragons
My reason: simple. This song makes me happy. I specifically picked this version because I love how immersed they are in the music. It makes me want to pick up an instrument or just clap my hands along with the beat. And the video itself is pretty cool. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Share what you're listening to in the comments!

  1. Rachel!!! I swear, sometimes we have exact friggin taste. I found this song a few weeks ago when they were performing in NY. This is the song that got me into them because like you I yelled LABYRINTH! Haha it's a great song.

I haven't heard this song from Imagine dragons but I'm gonna play it now. Looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with every week!
