[Note: Read my review of the first book in the series here.]

My thoughts ...
Short summary:  Lena Halloway has left behind everything she knows - family, friends, love and the belief that it's a sickness humanity should be cured of.  She starts a new life that brings her right to the forefront of a dangerous revolution.

The good:  I'm sort of drawing a blank here (clearly not a good sign).  I think the concept behind this series - the idea that feeling any sort of passion (love or hate) for anything is a disease - is an interesting one.  Lena's constant struggle with her change in beliefs about love, letting go of her past and adjusting to her new life is probably the only thing I enjoyed about the book.

The bad: I wasn't a fan of the set up of the chapters, which alternated between "past" (what happens right after escaping from her home) and present.  To me, it felt a little jarring.  I also didn't enjoy the "romance" in this book because it felt completely unnecessary considering what happened in Delirium and the ongoing revolution. It seemed like the author threw in this random love interest (and an "instant" love interest at that) just to have the infamous "triangle". So many of the aspects of the book were just predictable.  Including the ending which I saw coming a mile away.

Do I recommend?:
If you've already read the first book in the series and want to know what's going on, then you should probably read this book.  But if you haven't read the series at all, I'm not sure it's worth getting into.  This is the third book of Lauren Oliver's that I've read and I'm just not a huge fan of her writing.

Happy reading!
