Links + Loves

Here are some non-bookish articles I really liked this past month and my latest loves.

Links
1 / Joshua Jackson is promoting his new show Dr. Death (which I am currently too afraid to watch) and not that I needed the reminder, but he's just so freaking cute. Check out these videos with Esquire and Jimmy Fallon

2 / I'm a long-time follower of Jean Wang @ Extra Petite and she recently shared a post about parenting and what her own upbringing was like. I'm not a mom and my parents were different from hers, but there was still a lot I related to as the only child of immigrant parents.

3 / BuzzFeed posted about "19 TV Shows That Almost Ended In A Completely Different Way" and it was a trip to read what the alternatives were since I watched a lot of these shows. (Best change ever: That Joey ended up with Pacey instead of Dawson!)

4 / I was really into watching the Olympics while growing up but not so much as an adult (I don't know why!). But I've been keeping up through the news and watching clips on YouTube. I had to mention Suni Lee winning gold plus two Filipinos who also won gold medals: Hidilyn Diaz and Lee Kiefer

5 / I feel under a lot of pressure lately (some self-inflicted) and I really appreciated The Financial Diet's post about basic things we don't give ourselves enough credit for

6 / We're trying out a hybrid model at work where our week is a mix of being in-office and at home. It's been a few weeks now, so when I saw Apartment Therapy share some tips on how to thrive in this type of environment, I was happily surprised to see I was doing most of these things already!

7 / I look forward to the Nordstrom Anniversary sale every year and it's actually the reason why I got a credit card got there -- I wanted early access! I did my shopping last week already but now it's open to the public. If you need some ideas of what the hot items are, see suggestions from Hey Nasreen, Fashion Jackson, and Crystalin Marie (aka my faves!).

Loves

1 /
I recently added Dime Beauty's Hyaluronic Acid Serum to my skincare regimen and I immediately notice a difference. I have skin that gets really oily throughout the day and while this wasn't a "cure," my face has been considerably less oily.

2 / I've always wanted to try eyelash growth serums but they're usually not recommended for someone with dry eyes, like mine. Then I saw this clean option from Dime and decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did! It didn't irritate my eyes at all or cause any eyelid discoloring. And my lashes are longer!

3 / I saw this Hello Kitty ramen bowl and chopsticks set from Box Lunch and could not resist ordering it. It's so cute and perfect for when I make instant noodles. It's currently out of stock but hopefully they'll have more soon!

    1. I normally watch every show JJ does but the concept of this freaks me out too much lol. I may never go to the doctor again 😂 and yes I highly recommend the eyelash serum!
