What we thought
When I was looking for a new ice cream place try out last week, it was sheer luck that I stumbled upon Angela's Ice Cream and Desserts. It opened up at the beginning of summer and I haven't seen it get a lot of attention (yet!). But what stood out to me was that it's Filipino-inspired. And of course, the two of us knew we had to check it out. All the flavors will sound very familiar to anyone Filipino and I was impressed by the flavors they had. Such as: langka (known in English as jackfruit and one of my faves), calamansi (Philippine lime) and Choc nut (famous chocolate from the Phillipines).  These are flavors I never would've expected to see as ice cream! But of course they do have more typical ones one like mango, ube, pandan, and coconut. I just love that their unique offering makes them stand out among all the ice cream shops that already exist in the city.

The store itself is bright and colorful and they are very generous with their servings, in case you couldn't tell from the photos. The one thing I noticed was the ice cream was a tad soft/melted but otherwise, I thought this was a great new spot and I hope other people in the city check it out!
