Table for Two #12: Ivan Ramen

For this month's Table for Two, I'll be chatting about Ivan Ramen and Alexa is featuring Koneko.

Ivan Ramen has been on my personal must-try list ever since two friends told me it was the best ramen they've ever had in NYC. As someone who loves ramen, I had to find out for myself just how good it was. And I totally agree, it is the best ramen I've ever had! (Alexa felt the same way! She said it tastes just like the ramen she had in Japan which is, of course, her ultimate fave.) The restaurant itself is surprisingly on the smaller side but cozy, lined with colorful walls and the service is great. We ordered: steamed pork buns (yum), shoyu ramen (a classic and my go-to) and chicken paitan (Ivan special). The food definitely hit the spot and was perfect for a cold winter's night. I can guarantee that whenever I'm craving ramen after work, this is where I'll want to go to from now on.

You can find Ivan Ramen at 25 Clinton Street.

Alexa of Alexa Loves Books and I have teamed up to bring you Table for Two, a collaboration that involves two of our favorite things - New York City and food. The two of us will be highlighting restaurants and dessert spots in New York City. You'll be hearing our personal opinions on the place and the food, as well as where you can go to try it out for yourself.
