Links + Loves

Here are some non-bookish articles I really liked this past month and my latest loves.

Links
1 / Such a well-written post on PopSugar about how one woman dealt with feeling less passionate about her job. I love that the solution wasn't to quit (not that there's anything wrong with that!) but instead she realized needed to change her approach to work.

2 / Modern Love + bookworm love story = must read.

3 / Emilia Clark wrote a piece for Huffington Post called "The New Sexy" and basically I just adore this woman.

4 / TheKitchn created an ice cream road trip to do in a single day in New York and I totally want to do it.

5 / I'm a huge fan of Shonda Rhimes – her book, her shows (lifelong fan of Grey's right here!) – so I was excited to find out that she signed a deal with Netflix! So ready for the future of Shondaland.

6 / TheEverygirl's post, "Why I'm Glad Things Didn't Work Out as Planned" really resonated with me. I remember thinking that I'd have certain things "checked off" by my 30s but life doesn't quite work out that way. And that can be a really good thing.

7 / One lifestyle blog I've followed on and off is The Anna Edit and during that off-period, she completely rebranded her site and I missed out on the when and why. As a blogger whose site has evolved over the years, I enjoyed hearing the story behind it.

Loves

1 / I went to Ulta to buy shampoo but inevitably I always walk around the store to look for other things. A really nice sales associate recommended IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cleanser and I'm loving it so far. Makes my skin feel soft and removes all my makeup.

2 / Carina (aka best friend ever) knows how much I love Longchamp and for my birthday she got me the small nylon Le Pliage and I've been using it constantly ever since. (And if you're wondering, yes I have a lot of Longchamps bag 😂)

3 / I tried a Sephora foot mask for the first time (thanks Estelle!) after eyeing them in the store for months. I expected it to be messy and not that effective but surprisingly it was the exact opposite. I already want to buy another!

  1. I love all things IT Cosmetics! Most of my makeup is from them, but surprisingly not the cleanser. Good to know you like it
