Style Essentials: Ode to Flats

Since this has been a strange winter filled with random warm days and spring is just right around the corner, I am super excited to start wearing flats again. I know I'm short (4'11 1/2" over here!) so I probably should invest in heels a little bit more but the truth is, I love flats best. They're more comfortable, which is important because I walk around the city quite a bit, and there are just so many cute options. I mean, what can I say? I'm a total sucker for a ballet flat.

Here are some that I already own and love, some I want to add to my collection and others that I just like to admire online because I am not prepared to pay that much money.

Lucky Brand Emmie flats (I'm on my second pair!)

J.Crew Audrey flats (big fan of their flats!)

Chanel lambskin ballerinas (#1 on my shoes lust list)
Margaux the classic (more affordable compared to the others!)

**I have splurged on these once and wore them so often that after a few years I wore a hole into the bottom. It pained me to throw them out but I've often considered buying another pair. SO SO SO comfortable.

What are your favorite pairs of flats?

  1. Those lace-ups are SO cute! My pup ate the comfiest pair I've ever owned (from Le Chateau) and I haven't been able to find them again to replace them - I'm heartbroken!

  2. TIEKS!! I love these shoes more then life itself. They are handmade and I have had the same pair for over 2 or so years and with CONSTANT (I'm talking I don't wear any other shoe) they're finally starting to wear out. I love their reinforced bottom and leads to still feeling soft and flexible!

  3. I've always wanted the Chanel ballet flats as well! They're definitely one of the big ticket items on my wishlist.

with love,
