BookBags (28): Love, in Foreign Countries

Monthly feature where I pair books with bags or share what's in a bag (mine or otherwise!) est. 4/2013.

Since reading Hello, I Love You, I've read a few more books that feature a young woman traveling to a foreign country and falling in love (why hasn't this happened to me?!) and thought it would be fun to feature my favorites on this very topic.

Love, in English is not the kind of romance I expected to fall in love with but Karina Halle is just so good at hitting you with all the feels that it was impossible to resist. I knew I had to include it but of course it was the hardest one to find a match for! Then I saw this pink clutch with the blue accent and knew it was my pick.

(2) Hello, I Love You + Mini Boxy Tote
Hello, I Love You was so cute and one of the few YA romances that involve a heroine traveling to Asia. The light blue bag was the perfect match and one I could easily see myself using. (It also happens to be on sale..)

It's been years since I've read Wanderlove but I remember it sparking this need to travel and it might've even been the first time I heard the word wanderlust. If there's a book that will inspire you to see a foreign country, it's this one. This purple bag from Coach matched the lettering on the cover perfectly.

Anna and the French Kiss is probably THE young adult book for traveling to another country and falling in love. Plus it takes place in one of my favorite places, Paris. This chevron pink and white tote goes along nicely with the cover!

Which bag + book pairing is your favorite?
And have you read any of these books?

  1. I both love and fear these posts from you, R! I love seeing your pairings of bags with books, but I also dread the way I want to BUY majority of the bags once I see them. I'm in love with the mini boxy tote, but alas, it is out of stock - or perhaps, I should consider that a good thing ;) Love the theme and the book+bag pairings!
