I kid you not, I think I must've spent an hour last night playing dozens of songs on iTunes and Spotify trying to find the right song to represent my mood this past week. Then I remembered that Jess from Gone With the Words had recommended some songs to me, one of them being "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards" by Tame Impala and I had liked it a lot. So I gave it another listen and what do you know, perfect! I knew it as soon as I heard these lines:It feels like I only go backwards / Every part of me says go ahead / I've got my hopes up again, oh no, not again / It feels like we only go backwards, darlin' / The seed of all this indecision isn't me / 'Cause I decided long ago / But that's the way it seems to go / When trying so hard to get to something real.

Beautiful and moving. I love this piano ballad by Rihanna. I have this affinity for sad songs/lyrics so as soon as I heard this song, I naturally fell in love. The lyrics remind me of some time, place and person. I think I'll have this song on repeat for a while.
