Table for Two #29: Fuku

For this month's Table for Two, I'll be chatting about Fuku and Alexa is featuring Kith Treats.

Where  |  Fuku, 20 Hudson Yards / 500 West 33rd St
Cuisine  |  Fast food, fried chicken
Price  |  $ Inexpensive

What we ordered
  • quarter fried chicken (dark meat) with waffle fries
  • chicken fingers with waffle fries and chickpea mac

What we thought
Alexa and I had a James Bay concert to go to which meant we wanted something quick and convenient for dinner. We decided to go to Fuku at Hudson Yards, a fried chicken spot by Momofuku. While it was certainly quick and convenient, we both felt underwhelmed. The place is super tiny so there's barely any seating. Luckily we were at the mall so we found a spot elsewhere. But once we sat down to eat, the food was just okay. I went in with pretty high expectations because I always see long lines for this place during lunch and it's a Momofuku spin-off. I thought it had to be some amazing fried chicken but I can think of better fast food places for exactly that. That said, if you're in the area and want something super quick and cheap after work, it does the job.

The two of us will be highlighting restaurants and dessert spots in New York City. You'll be hearing our personal opinions on the place and the food, as well as where you can go to try it out for yourself.

  1. I definitely am sad that this one was underwhelming for us both! I had high expectations, I suppose, and it was just fine. (Thank goodness for Kith!)
